Trevor Metz

Trevor Metz is an award winning journalist from Vancouver, Canada with many years of broadcasting and media experience. He is currently the narrator for the impressive 5CTV series “Discover China” broadcast on both The Dish Network and Direct TV to over 30 million American homes. Trevor was the co-host and creator of China's most listened to English radio program, “China Drive”, which aired on China Radio International. Trevor's voice could be heard across China in most major markets across the globe. He was honored to be the lead broadcaster for China Radio International's coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics where he broadcast daily from the International Broadcast Center next to the Bird's Nest stadium. Trevor was also well known in his home province of British Columbia in radio and television news. In 2003 Trevor won a Jack Webster Award, which is one of Canada's most prestigious news awards. Trevor is also a regular contributor to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Viewpoint website.

Trevor also has a long and distinguished career in voice work in China. He is perhaps Beijing's most professional and well used voice artist. His voice can be heard on both China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines. Trevor is also a veteran of numerous corporate and industrial videos for such corporations such as; LG Corp., China Post, and CNOOC. He is also the narrator for the acclaimed CCTV documentary series “China's Treasures”

Paul James

Born in a rural community in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan in 1977, Paul grew up in the breadbasket of Canada.  Growing up in the town of 850 people, Paul would spend his winters playing hockey, and his summers playing fastball.  Upon his graduation from high school as the class valedictorian, Paul set out to – first – become a high school teacher.  But after meeting a friend who was in broadcasting, the lure of being on the air was far too great, and he set out to become a radio broadcaster.

After starting his career out as an on-air disc jockey in 1996 in the Canadian province of British Columbia, on Canada's west coast, Paul later moved into the field of journalism, where he has stayed ever since.  Throughout the years, Paul has covered many exciting events, and has interviewed world leaders. During his time in British Columbia, Paul also became a journalism instructor.  Now in China, Paul is the host of People In the Know, China Radio International's only international political current affairs program, which is heard around China, and the world.  Paul has numerous voice-over credits to his name, including work for Sinochem, the People's Liberation Army and other corporate video work.  Paul is also an accomplished public speaker, and is well versed in various advertising strategies.


 

 

Fergus Thompson

Fergus was born in Britain, brought up in Ireland and lived for many years in Spain.
He has seven years experience as an anchor/presenter on radio and in addition has voiced numerous commercials, promos and short documentaries in Ireland, the UK, Spain and China. For the past two years Fergus has been a news anchor on China's No.1 English language radio station.

Fergus has a light, neutral southern Irish accent and has worked in China for a range of clients including CCTV, China National Petroleum Corporation, Beijing Tourism Group and The Tourism Authority of Thailand. 

Fergus also spent many years in education, both as a qualified teacher of English and as a teacher trainer; this experience means that he has the skills necessary to edit your script correctly in terms of grammar, content and style. He speaks Spanish as a second language.

Peter Koveos

Peter Koveos is the host of Beyond Beijing which is heard on China Radio International (CRI). The program is heard domestically in China and simulcast in Australia and throughout Africa.  He was also the lead narrator for China Viewpoints; a documentary series shown on satellite on 5 Continents Television (5CTV).


Peter graduated from BCIT in his hometown of Vancouver, Canada with a journalism diploma and has a wealth of on-air experience in both news and sports presentation.

BeiBei Ren

Everyday from 12 to 2 pm BeiBei's voice in both Chinese and English can be heard on the one-of-a-kind bilingual radio show Third Wheel on China Radio International's Easyfm. Born in China and immigrated to the United States at a young age, BeiBei is the perfect example of someone who is absolutely, truly and utterly bilingual. When speaking English on the radio, no one doubts her identity as an American. But the second she switches to Chinese, everyone takes her to be a local Beijinger.

A graduate of Cornell University, BeiBei holds a degree in Economics and excelled in many other disciplines. After working for two years in New York City as a financial consultant, BeiBei decided to find her true passion and came back to Beijing. After working briefly as a journalist at the English channel CCTV 9, BeiBei found her niche at CRI, first working as a foreign copy editor and now the show host of a truly bilingual radio show.

Besides whipping up a fun show everyday BeiBei also works for China's Central Radio & TV University Press to record shows in English that are broadcast in the United States. BeiBei also has excellent experiences in being a bilingual host for public events, including high-end fashion shows, company inaugurations and press conferences. BeiBei also takes on translation work from time to time, utilizing her amazing ability to grasp the true meaning of one language and then tells it in another.

Richard Bradbury

Richard Bradbury is a trained broadcaster, actor, music-stylist and audio producer from Chesterfield in the U.K. He is the creator and host of the nightly music show ‘The Pulse' on China Radio International's EZ FM, broadcasting 7 nights a week, 365 days a year. He had the privilege of live anchoring the opening ceremony to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, as well as covering the live launch of the Shenzhou VII space mission.

As a voiceover artist, Richard's client list is extensive and includes companies such as: Sinopec, Footlocker, Wilkinsons, Superdrug and many more.

His voice has also been used by the BBC and France 24 for long-form narration.

He is also an experienced audio producer, currently handling most of the production work that is currently heard throughout EZ FM, and has produced many audio documentaries both long and short-form for a variety of different clients.

Jennifer Pak

Jennifer Pak was born and raised in Canada. She has worked in various radio and TV stations across Canada including the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. When she first came to China she worked at China Radio International and helped cover the 2008 Olympics for the British Broadcasting Corporation. Jennifer speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She is currently a journalist based in Beijing.

Danny Sigelman

Danny Sigelman is from the United States. Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN he started in radio while studying as an Art major at the University of Minnesota where he helped found the student run radio station, Radio K-KUOM. There he hosted the long running and acclaimed "Off the Record" live music program and held the position as Music Director during his tenure at the University.
 
Since then he has worked in the music business, performed in a number of music groups as a professional drummer, continued and art career and done some acting for television and film in the Twin Cities.
 
Eventually he continued to work in broadcasting at Minnesota Public Radio's "new music" station, 89.3 the Current. His most recent work in radio is hosting the daily music program, "Easy Cafe" on China Radio International's EZFM in Beijing. He also does voiceover work and can be heard on CRI's syndicated "Listener's Garden" program.

Ian Reed

Ian Reed began his voiceover career in New York City doing British-accent advertisements for major brand names such as Colombian Coffee, Dunkin Donuts, Duracell, Reuters, and Verizon. His narration and voice-acting clients -- including the History and Sci-Fi channels, the U.S. Library of Congress, and China Radio International -- have benefited from Ian's vast range of voice characters and accents. He has also established himself as a stage, film, and TV actor in Beijing, including leading roles at the Penghao Theatre.

Jeremy Nuttall

Jeremy Nuttall comes from Vancouver, Canada and has a background as a professional broadcaster both as a reporter for CBC news and as a news Anchor for CIGV radio in Penticton. He currently hosts China Drive on Easy FM in Beijing. Nuttall has experience in voice overs and has worked as a newspaper editor in the past, so He is able to polish and record.

Nancy Matos

Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Nancy is a graduate of the Broadcast Journalism and Media program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Her journalism career in broadcast and print has taken her around the world from New York to Portugal and now Beijing, where she works as a broadcaster and copy editor. She is currently studying Mandarin and speaks English and Portuguese.

James Aitken

James is an award winning broadcasting industry veteran. Since 1990, he's been seen and heard on television and radio stations across Western Canada and on China's flagship international TV and radio stations. Whether he's presenting a daily radio morning show or hosting a live event on stage in front of an audience of thousands, James is always at home in front of the microphone.



James has forged a loyal following and can currently be seen hosting several programs including World Wide Watch, Asia Today and CCTV's flagship news and current affairs program, Newshour. James also occasionally contributes to Biz China and has hosted CCTV's wildly popular annual nationally broadcast English Speaking Contest.

James also spent a year at China Radio International where his deep voice and unique personality earned him wide praise and recognition in the media industry in China.

Rebecca Parr

Rebecca Parr is a graduated actor from Bath Spa University in England in 2007 and she holds a BA Hons in Acting for Stage, Camera and Radio. She also studied a National Certificate in Radio Broadcasting for 2 years in Dublin, Ireland, graduating in 2003 with Distinction. Having lived in Beijing for two and a half years she has been an active member of the “Beijing Actors Workshop” and is now a freelance actor finding whatever challenging jobs she can, on stage, on screen and on microphone! She is a regular voice artist, performing character voices and national and international accents for the Foreign Language Press and University as well as other prestigious studios around Beijing. She also works regularly at Blue Ocean Network as a TV host for Easy China. She has been quoted as being the “female voice of Great Britain”. Ron Lorenz

Ron Lorenz has been a broadcaster, a voice talent and a journalist for over 25 years.
From 2003 to 2009,Ron was the host of the "Easy Cafe" music program on CRI EASY FM in Beijing, China.

His radio background has taken him to the major markets of Calgary and Vancouver, Canada and Beijing. Ron has voiced radio and television programs, commercials, documentaries, animation, corporate videos and English learning programs in China, Canada and the United States. His voice has been described as powerful, rich, strong and solid and authoritative, but he can also provide a smooth and sexy sound, providing you with a broad range to choose from. Ron also has a track record of success as a public speaker and a journalist. At the age of 11, he won a public speaking contest at his school. By age 15, he was writing a music column for his hometown newspaper in Canada. At the age of 19, Ron was working as a radio DJ while pursuing his studies in broadcast journalism. After receiving his journalism degree, he went on to become a news broadcaster and reporter. Ron is an accomplished public speaker and has been an emcee at corporate and charity events, as well as weddings. He feels very comfortable speaking in front of an audience. Conversational and comfortable, yet clear and concise. Perfect pacing, timing, and inflection. You'll want to keep listening.
